Teaching English in South Korea is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, while experiencing the rich culture of the East. XploreAsia will provide you with an informative cultural orientation both online and in-country, experienced teacher assistance, and a high quality teaching position! We go above and beyond to make sure you have a smooth and successful transition into life in South Korea. XploreAsia teachers earn a salary of US $20,000-25,000 per year. All contracts are for a minimum of 12 months, and are renewable. Teachers also get FREE furnished housing, FREE airfare, paid holidays and health insurance coverage.

The South Korea Cultural Foundation online and in-country courses are designed to prepare future English teachers for all aspects of life in South Korea. The course delves into the heart of South Korean culture and values through online classes before you arrive in the country, or once in the country, the course includes active-learning through cultural excursions to various sites of cultural and historical significance. We also recommend participants of our Teach South Korea program take part in our 120-hour internationally accredited online, or in-class TESOL certification course.

Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field of study, or a university diploma in English or Education.
Candidates must be native English speakers.
Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.
Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 45.
Applicants must be willing to commit for at least 12 months.
Applicants must have no criminal history.
Candidates must be passport holders of any of the following countries: United States, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

We offer year-round placement, as well as a unique in-country TESOL course, specifically geared to training you to teach ESL in South Korea! We also have TESOL course options in Thailand (monthly), Myanmar, and Vietnam.
