OPEN - October 2018 - Human Resources Professional - Hua Hin, Thailand

The HR Professional will create and lead HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

The HR Professional is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization’s business goals.

The HR Professional coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs, reports to the MD, and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues.

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting and staffing
  • Organizational departmental planning
  • Performance management and improvement systems
  • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns regarding employees
  • Employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Employee relations
  • Company, employee and community communication
  • Compensation and benefits administration
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
  • Employee services and counseling

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must be Thai or Native English speaking expat
  • A Bachelor Degree in any field preferred (but not necessarily required)
  • Two years or more of HR related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of regulation for hiring in Thailand preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Experience with work permits for Thailand preferred
  • Ability to work on international teams
  • Willingness to travel to Myanmar and Vietnam regularly for short durations
  • Near fluency in English required

OPEN - January 2019 - English Camp Teachers - Hua Hin, Thailand

XploreAsia are hosting an exciting English camp for South Korean students in January, 2019!

We are looking for fun, energetic, and passionate teachers to support this incredible full-time English camp experience. 

Full training and curriculum will be provided.  We have full-time (day), and part-time (evening) options available.  The camp will be hosted in Hua Hin, Thailand, and will also require a small amount of weekend work.

OPEN - 2019 - Operations Manager - Hua Hin, Thailand

Operations Manager

  • Oversee operations of the TESOL intake each month. Work across all departments to plan the program and manage any issues that may arise
  • Develop and update operations manual in line with company procedures
  • Analyze departments, develop, and implement best practices across the operations function
  • Manage and refine the organization’s health and safety policy
  • Work with school partners, in planning English camps, scheduling instructors, etc.
  • Provide leadership across the organization in coordinating XploreAsia’s services, solving issues, and supporting various functions
  • Work with the placement team to provide after-placement support and issue resolution
  • Support development of procedures and best practices for the placement department management

Requirements

  • Must have experience teaching in Thailand for more than one year
  • Must have knowledge of the visa and work permit process, whether through personal experience only or through a previous role in support of people working in Thailand
  • Must enjoy helping people
  • Must, at times, be ‘on call’ after hours to help people with visa, work permit, or job issues and concerns

OPEN - February 2019 - Multi-Country Program Coordinator - Hua Hin, Thailand

The program coordinator will be responsible for helping participants with pre-arrival preparation and in country support for their specific program area. The coordinator will be required to guide participants on how to prepare teacher profile documents to a high standard as these will be used for job applications. They will also need to provide guidance and assistance on how to apply for a visa for their specific country area. Once participants are in country with us, coordinators act as mentors and support participants throughout their programs abroad.  The day to day tasks of the role include: preparing for, updating and maintaining participant records, interviewing participants and answering questions, managing logistics and briefing participants. This position requires excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have the ability to follow directions, manage multiple projects, be mature and organized and work well in a team setting. Prior experience living and working overseas is an advantage. OPEN - REGISTER INTEREST - Temp Instructors/Coordinators - Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai, Thailand

If you’re currently teaching and would be interested in working for XploreAsia during your holiday time (April and October), then register with us in advance.  This is a very exciting and valuable opportunity for those wishing to build their resumes, and also gives the opportunity to extend with XploreAsia if we are a great fit.

We regularly hire group coordinators and TESOL instructors for the holiday periods.

GROUP COORDINATOR:

Requirements:

  • 6 months of teaching experience (overseas)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring their assigned group(s) is/are informed of all scheduling and activity details throughout the month
  • Facilitate TESOL feedback sessions when required.  These may be split between you, and the instructor
  • Being available to answer questions throughout the month and resolving inquiries when able to
  • Reporting issues or conflicts within the group to management, assisting in providing a resolution, and following-up with participants once resolved
  • Attending and documenting XploreAsia provided excursions
  • Checking in with participants at accommodations each evening
  • Supporting TESOL instructor where necessary
  • Supporting Programs, Placement, and Marketing teams where necessary
  • Giving advice (phones, transportation, course, etc) and directions (printing shops, bus station, etc.) to participants
  • Assisting on the intake weekend in Hua Hin, or Chiang Mai
  • Collecting and tracking invoices
  • Setting-up classrooms and equipment for class each day
  • Organizing weekend excursions for participants who are interested
  • Any additional duties as assigned.

TESOL INSTRUCTOR:

Requirements:

  • 1 year of teaching experience (overseas)
  • Degree required

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Be available for training related to the TESOL course, pre-arrival.
  • Provide high-quality TESOL instruction using the XploreAsia methodology
  • Mentor students on how to be good teachers in all countries that XploreAsia provide teachers
  • Provide quality feedback on student presentations during feedback sessions
  • Grade students and prepare letters of recommendations, certificates, grades and final reports
  • Facilitate the camp practical training, observe and provide feedback on student performance
